Fresh Start

Basically...

I have decided it's time for a new blog. It has a brand new design and a completely different feel. I was getting tired of how my blog was looking and thought it needed a fresh new start. Having started this blog in 2014, my ideas of how it should look have changed and I feel like now is a good time to improve it all.

Summer is over but Winter is just around the corner

Basically...
Summer is coming to an end, everyone is back to school and collage for another year of hard work. The warm nights are never to be seen until next year and those "short shorts" are to be thrown to the back of the wardrobe until they are acceptable to be worn again! But on the bright side Autumn/Winter clothes are back on the market :) Winter is my all time favourite season, I just love my jumpers and the cold nights beside the fire, cuddled up with a hot chocolate! As I am very much excited about buying a new Autumn/Winter wardrobe, I have already been looking online for those cute jumpers and woolly socks. I honestly can't wait for all the maroon, the creams, the crimson reds and the khaki to make an appearance in every shop window. So here we go. Currently I feel that New Look are absolutely killing it, therefore a large majority of my Autumn/Winter favourites are New Look clothes, nevertheless items from Topshop and Forever 21 are included in my list, and are just as cute and delightful!

Firstly this gorgeous knitted jumper from New Look is definitely a need on my list of Autumn/Winter clothes. The colours blend lovely and would work great with a pair of high waisted jeans!
£24.99

Next is this pretty skirt from New Look, the tartan gives a Christmassy feel and is essential in any girl's wardrobe.
£19.99

So this blue casual jumper is again from New Look and would be simply stunning with a pleated skirt (such as the one below). It could be dressed up with a pair of dainty heels or dressed down with ripped jeans and Chelsea boots. £19.99

I feel this skirt from New Look is that item in your wardrobe that can be perfect with anything! Made formal with a loose blouse or made casual with a jumper. Definitely my next purchase.
£22.99

Okay this cute dress from Forever 21 is simple and classic, it gives off the whole 'girl next door' look and would look beautiful with heeled boots.
£16.00

Right, these New Look boots would be ideal with a pair of skinny jeans and an oversized jumper! Perfect for those long walks in the park, as well as staying warm and looking splendid.
£29.99

Finally this oversized jumper from Topshop is quirky yet sweet. I'm such a big fan of the dip dye effect and not usually a fan of green but I think it works so well with this piece. Totally appealing!
£39.00

There you have it! My Autumn/Winter favourites. I'm almost certain my list will expand as the colder months grow nearer, but I like to start buying my wardrobe early so I don't miss anything. Autumn/Winter is meant to be cosy and chilled and I like my clothes to reflect this :)

The Little Black Dress

Basically...
Every girl needs a little black dress. It is considered a rule of fashion and is essential to a complete wardrobe. I brought a black dress from River Island just after Christmas for my birthday and thought I should wear it again. I thought about black dresses in general and came to the conclusion that black dresses are the classiest and most attractive dresses ever. Numerous celebrities have pulled off the little black dresses and it all originated from the geniuses that are Coco Chanel and Jean Patou, then made iconic by Audrey Hepburn. It will always be fashionable, simple yet elegant. It will forever get heads turning, even your worst enemy will have to check your Instagram ;) The LBD has been a fundamental fashion piece for years and it will continue to find itself into women's wardrobes for years to come. It will never go away and will remain the sexiest dress in the fashion world. You can't go wrong with a little black dress.

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Show Off Mascara

 Basically...
I thought I would tell you about my favourite mascara because I think it is the most amazing product! For quite a while now I have been using Rimmel's Scandal Eyes Show Off Mascara and I think it's the perfect mascara. I must admit that when first applied it does make my eyelashes droop. But as I curl my eyelashes to make them look longer and thicker before and after I put mascara on (I don't know whether you are supposed to do this but it works for me) it makes my eyelashes look long and thick. I totally recommend this product as I feel like it does actually work as you can see above :)

 Questions from Scottishrose

1. Your favourite type of blog post to read?

I love to read posts about reviews or 'monthly favourites' because I love to know what new products to buy.

2. What do you order when you go to Starbucks?

I'm more of a Costa girl but if I do go to Starbucks I buy their hot chocolate with cream and marshmellows because it's just perfect.

3. What blogger do you look up to the most?

I'm so new to blogging, I can't say I have a favourite as of yet.

4. Favourite lip colour?

Hmm.. I think I will have to go with a nice bright pink, it's always a winner, haha! But to be more specific I love 'Kate Moss Lasting Finish' Number 16 is the one.

5. The one beauty product you couldn't live without?

I couldn't live without 'No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation' it literally saves my life! (My friend Aimee recommended it to me and I will forever thank her for showing me)

6. Your favourite Disney film and why?

This is such a hard question! I think it would have to be Sleeping Beauty because it's just so perfect :') You can just watch it over and over again and it's still as cute as the first time you watched it!

7. Any interesting hobbies or talents?

I wouldn't say interesting but I love photography, and that's a hobbie I suppose.

8. Your favourite summer memory?

I have so many but my favourite summer memory has got to be when I was younger I used to go down to Cornwall for 2 weeks at the same campsite every year, with a group of friends and family. A few of us kids grew up together and I have such good memories of those days. I think the reason why it's my favourite memory is because we don't go anymore as the campsite closed down, the kids all grew up and some of the families fell apart but life goes on...

9. Where do you hope to see yourself in 5 years?

So in 5 years I will be 20, I hope to be at University finishing a journalism course.

10.  Your biggest achievement?

To be honest, I really can't think of anything.

11. A luxury product/item you wish you owned?

There are sooo many but I wish I owned a pair of Louboutins, they are beautiful.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

Basically...

This is my first post and I am very new to the whole blogging scene so here goes....

I have recently been using 'Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation' as it has been advertised a lot and everyone is raving about it, so I thought I would give it a go. I have oily, blemish prone skin that is definitely NOT clear :( and when I used this foundation I found it was a thin/light liquid. So when I applied the foundation it didn't cover up as much as I would have liked. I also noticed it left my face very shiney so I had to apply loose powder to give my face a smooth/matte finish. I do not recommend this to people with oily skin or people who like a thicker foundation (like me). I tried this foundation on a friend who has clear skin and it worked wonders on her and left her face looking refreshed and glowing in which the foundation claims to do and in this incidence it did exactly that. Therefore I recommend this product to people who don't want to hide their blemishes completely but want to look more awake and refreshed.
